The Russian Language Program consists of a 16-week or simply one-semester program. We offer 3 different levels from beginner to advanced. Our Russian classes take place once a week on Saturday evenings. Our teachers are all native-speaking and experienced.

The Russian Language Program integrates speaking, listening, reading, and writing. We maintain small class sizes to enable adequate time for conversation in every class. The group is never more than 6 students. 

Group Lessons / Duration - 60 min / 16 lessons / All materials included

Different levels meet at different times on Saturdays:

L1 - 5:00 pm 

L2 - 4:00 pm

You will be contacted by our Instructor as soon as you complete your application to find the best fit for you. We guarantee that you will speak Russian!

The goal is to teach children in grades 1-12 abstract concepts of planning, analysis, and strategy through the game of chess. Kids will be excited to understand and amazed by the positive experience that chess offers. When a child learns the most complicated game in the world they build self-confidence, and logical and analytical thinking, develop self-learning tools and learn how to evaluate their own decision-making process.

-Ages 7-17

Three Groups: Advanced, Intermediate, and Beginners     

Every Saturday:

Beginners meet at 1:45 pm

Intermediate, Advanced at 2:45 pm 

Professional Chess Boards will be provided. All educational material included. 

NORCC offers a special course that prepares high school students for the National Examination of World Languages(NEWL), which is administered at a certified test center around Louisiana. Passing this test will provide students with extra credit when applying to different colleges.

Individual Lesson/ 45 min long / Monday - Friday / 4 lessons per month

 The student will meet with an instructor through Zoom during the week. You will be contacted as soon as we receive your registration. 

What is it? This is learning how to quickly count in your head using the abacus (Japanese abacus). You may have seen or heard how some children solve multi-valued examples in their minds in seconds and at the same time read, squat, or jump. If you think that only geniuses are capable of this, we assure you that this is not so! Every child who attends this class masters this kind of quick counting. But this is not the main thing!

The main thing is the simultaneous development of both hemispheres of the brain. Children learn to count on an abacus by moving the bones. Then they imagine these abacus in their imagination and move the bones in their imagination. And then the right hemisphere begins to work. 

Everyone who takes a mental arithmetic course begins to do better at school, do homework on their own, and learn poetry quickly. Why? Because mental arithmetic develops children's memory, concentration, speed of perception, and processing of information. Skills that are so needed in the modern world.

This class is designed specifically for adults. This course promotes communication skills such as speaking, understanding, and expressing themselves in the Russian language. Many events will be organized throughout the year to practice language with native Russian speakers.

Welcome! This amazing course is designed for adults and promotes communication skills such as speaking, reading, understanding, and expressing yourselves in Russian language. 

Your instructor is native Russian speaker. Together, you will be working on pronunciation and clarity of speech. Reading aggignments, writing exercises, verbal discussions will guarantee an increase of vocabulary and clarity of pronunciation! Fun homework is given after each class.
